Jazz pianist André Previn recorded Pal Joey for Contemporary in October 1957, in a trio with Red Mitchell and Shelly Manne. This album of Rodgers and Hart tunes follows on from Manne's My Fair Lady (1956); Scott Yanow hears "straight-ahead trio music" in it.
