Audience measurement

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, an aggregated audience measurement with no cookie or persistent identifier (page views, country, device type). It is used to find out which pages are read. Cloudflare also processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver the site, like any host.

Use of the app

When you use the app, Jazzency records usage events: the type of action (for example, opening a profile), the item concerned, and the date and time. If you have joined the test, a random 6-character participant code is associated with them, with no link to your identity. These events are stored with Supabase (processor) and are used to improve the site. Legal basis: the publisher's legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. They are kept for 13 months, then deleted automatically every day.

Opt out: open jazzency.com/#notrack; recording is then disabled in this browser (#track turns it back on).

Account and premium access

If you create an account, your first name and email address are used to send you a login code, give you access to members-only content and associate your access status. They are kept as long as the account exists; you can request their deletion at the contact address in the legal notice. It is stored with Supabase; the login code is sent through Brevo (processor, a French company), which receives the recipient's email address and the content of the message. It is neither resold nor used for marketing. If you enable a passkey (Face ID, fingerprint, device code), only the corresponding public key is kept with Supabase; no biometric data leaves your device. Legal basis: performance of the service you requested.

Data stored on your device

The site saves your settings and progress in your browser (local storage, no cookie): display mode, profiles already viewed, tracks liked, participant code, opt-out choice. The site also keeps in the browser a copy of the pages already visited, so that it opens faster and offline, and it records that you declined the prompt to install it on your phone. This data does not leave your device, except for the participant code described above. You can erase it from your browser settings.

Apple Podcasts

For some shows, a "Play here" button loads the official Apple Podcasts player. Nothing is loaded until you click; from the click on, Apple receives information according to its own privacy policy.

YouTube videos

No video is loaded until you click. On click, the YouTube player in "no cookie" mode (youtube-nocookie.com) is loaded and YouTube then receives information according to its own policy. Without a click, the link simply opens a YouTube search.

Your rights

You can request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, or object to its processing, by writing to contact@cadelian.com. For events linked to a participant code, indicate that code. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (the French data protection authority) (cnil.fr).

Transfers outside the European Union

Supabase, Inc. is a U.S. company: any access it may have to the data is covered by the contractual safeguards provided for transfers outside the European Union.
