Baden Powell

Classically trained guitarist who wrote the "Afro-Sambas" (1966) with the poet Vinicius de Moraes, a pivotal MPB album blending samba, candomblé, and capoeira. Based in France from 1968 into the 1980s, he returned to Brazil in the 1990s.
