Betty Davis

Born Betty Mabry, a model and songwriter, she married Miles Davis in 1968, appears on the cover of Filles de Kilimanjaro, and introduced him to Jimi Hendrix and Sly Stone. Her 1970s funk albums, with very raw lyrics, kept her away from television and radio; Light in the Attic reissued them starting in 2007.
