Eddie Condon
Settled in Chicago in the 1920s, he co-founded the Chicago Rhythm Kings in 1925, then from 1938 was associated with the Commodore label and Nick's club in Manhattan. His radio-broadcast Town Hall concerts (1944-1945) and his own New York club (1945-1967) made him a figure of traditional jazz.
