François Couturier

François Couturier, born in 1950 in Fleury-les-Aubrais near Orléans, studied classical music, then turned to improvisation in the early 1970s and received the Django Reinhardt Prize in 1980. He has collaborated closely with Anouar Brahem since 2001 and recorded Nostalghia - Song for Tarkovsky (2006) for ECM.
