Joseph Jarman

Multi-instrumentalist, composer, poet and Shinshu Buddhist priest, an early member of the AACM and founder of the Art Ensemble of Chicago. He withdrew from music from 1993 to 1996 for his spiritual practice and then rejoined the ensemble in 2003.
