Nguyên Lê is a guitarist born in Paris, of Vietnamese origin, who taught himself drums at 15 before moving to guitar and bass. In 1983 he founded the group Ultramarine and blends jazz, rock, funk and Vietnamese, Indian and North African music, with records on ACT (Tales from Viet Nam, 1996; Hà Nội Duo, 2017; Overseas, 2019).
