Rudresh Mahanthappa

Indian-American alto saxophonist who received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2007 to study the contribution of Carnatic music to jazz, which resulted in "Kinsmen" (2008) with Kadri Gopalnath. He directs the jazz program at Princeton University.
