Sippie Wallace

Blues singer born in Arkansas, she recorded for Okeh from 1923 to 1927 before devoting herself to the church in Detroit. Victoria Spivey brought her back to the stage in 1966, and her album Sippie (1982) received a W. C. Handy Award.
