Trio Ferret

guitars (Pierre "Baro", Jean "Matelo" and René "Challain" Ferret) · Rouen

Trio of guitarists from the Ferret family, active in Paris in the late 1930s, who recorded on their own or behind Albert Ferreri and Gus Viseur. The Ferret brothers, originally from Rouen, met Django Reinhardt in Paris in 1931; the Matelo Ferret page describes a style blending Eastern European Gypsy elements, musette waltzes and jazz.
