Polish jazz

Banned from the radio after the Communist takeover, Polish jazz is heard on Willis Conover's broadcasts until the first official festival, in Sopot in 1956. Krzysztof Komeda gives it a European style (Astigmatic, 1965); Tomasz Stańko, Zbigniew Namysłowski and Michał Urbaniak follow.
