Context

Recorded in Bamako in three sessions, without overdubs, this album brings together Ballaké Sissoko's kora and Vincent Ségal's cello. It combines Mandinka music and the European tradition, with a restraint that avoids electronics. Released in France in 2009, then in the United States in 2011.
