Context
Piece from the album "Cuban Jam Sessions in Miniature" (Descargas cubanas), recorded in Havana in 1957 at Panart studio during morning sessions brought together by bassist Cachao. These short improvisations combine the approach of jazz with the vocabulary of Cuban popular music; the album was inducted into the U.S. National Recording Registry in 2013.
