Context
Composed by Django Reinhardt, this tune became one of his best-known titles and a Gypsy jazz standard. A famous version from December 1940 adds a second clarinet to the arrangement. Reinhardt recorded at least thirteen versions of it, and many musicians have covered it since; French and English lyrics were added later.
