Sugar Foot Stomp
Context
Recorded in New York on May 29, 1925, and released by Columbia (395-D), this is Don Redman's adaptation of King Oliver's "Dippermouth Blues." Louis Armstrong, then a member of the Henderson orchestra, paraphrases Oliver's famous solo without the mute.
