Brian Auger

Hammond B3 organ, keyboards, vocals · 1939 · London

London keyboardist and bandleader who bought a Hammond B3 after hearing Jimmy Smith's records. After the Brian Auger Trinity (with Julie Driscoll, "This Wheel's on Fire"), he founded Oblivion Express in 1970, which fuses jazz, funk and rock.
