Blue in Green

Miles Davis · 1959

Context

A modal ballad on a ten-bar form, recorded for Kind of Blue, on which Cannonball Adderley does not play. The solos follow one another in a symmetrical order, and the authorship of the theme is debated: the record credits Miles Davis, but Bill Evans claimed to have written it. The track became a standard.
