Muskrat Ramble
Context
Theme written by trombonist Kid Ory, recorded by Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five in Chicago on February 26, 1926, for Okeh, as the B-side of "Heebie Jeebies". Authorship remains disputed: Ory claims it, while Armstrong also credited himself with writing it. It became a classic of the Dixieland repertoire, covered notably during the revival of the 1940s.
