Context
Seventh of the twelve tracks of Of The Earth, which Shabaka Hutchings wrote, played, produced and mixed alone, released on March 6, 2026 on his label Shabaka Records. Looping rhythms carry melodies of alto flute and saxophone, in a narrative of diasporic movement. It is his first self-produced solo album, with his first raps, and his return to saxophone after a period devoted to flute.
