Context
First single (February 2024) and opening track of Perceive Its Beauty, Acknowledge Its Grace, Shabaka Hutchings's first solo album, released on Impulse! on April 12, 2024 and recorded in 2022 at Van Gelder studio. The record follows his January 2023 announcement of a break from the saxophone: he mostly plays flutes and clarinet on it, here on clarinet with Jason Moran and Nasheet Waits.
