Recorded in Paris in July 1970 for the soundtrack of the film Les Stances à Sophie, this track is sung by Fontella Bass with the Art Ensemble of Chicago. It blends avant-garde jazz, funk and soul vocals. The music was commissioned by the director when the group had only two weeks left on its visa in France.
